There’s so much to do at Kimball Lake Resort!
-
Fishing
Fishing is good for largemouth bass, crappie, northern pike, bluegill, and perch on the Kimball Lakes chain. Three spring-fed lakes totaling about 270 acres comprise the Kimball Lake chain. Lower Kimball (129 acres) and Upper Kimball (44 acres, no-wake) are shallow while Middle Kimball (98 acres) is one of the deepest lakes in northwestern Wisconsin, over 70 feet in one area. Resort guests also have the opportunity to trailer their own boats to many nearby lakes. Lake Nancy (walleye, northern, bass, panfish), Pokegama Lake (bass, panfish) and Gilmore Lake (walleye, northern, bass, panfish) are popular fishing lakes within 5 miles of resort as well as numerous other smaller lakes within a 10-mile radius.
-
Hiking
We have one short, easy walking trail in the 33 acres of woods which starts adjacent to the garage loop. Washburn County has more than 100 miles of scenic hiking trails, including the Trego Nature Trail located on Hwy. 63 east of Hwy. 53. More information and maps are available from the Washburn County Tourism Visitor Center in Spooner.
